Experienced clinical psychologist Nigel Latta will share his thoughts on how we can all best navigate our changed work space brought on by the COVID pandemic. He says it is a complex environment and one size does not fit all in terms of us working from home - it will inevitably lead to higher levels of depression.

Local Government will be facing unprecedented change in the future with 3Waters, RMA reform and a potential future roadmap for the sector. How can we mentally prepare for these when already working through the pandemic?

Having spoken with many organisations on the subject of change, Nigel has some great ideas on how we can manage our mental health at the moment. You can chat with Nigel by sending your questions before the webinar or during it.

About the Presenter:

Nigel Latta
Clinical Psychologist

This is Nigel's preferred bio. Nigel was born. This was definitely the beginning of it all. He was a child for ages before steadily increasing height forced him to take up adult life. He has done a bunch of stuff since then and is still alive today.

And now for the more serious one. Nigel trained as a Clinical Psychologist and worked for over two decades in the areas of forensic psychology and family therapy.

In 2010, as a result of his passion for science and science education, Nigel was invited to become an associate of the world leading Multidisciplinary Health and Development Study at the University of Otago. In 2012 he was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for services to psychology.

He’s written eight books which have now been published in 19 countries and 10 languages.

His television career has spanned almost a decade and he’s presented a number of series including Beyond the Darklands, The Politically Incorrect Parenting Show, On Thin Ice: Nigel Latta in Antarctica, and The Hard Stuff. In 2016, along with Arwen O’Connor and Mitchell Hawkes he co-founded a production company, Ruckus, and the team have since made numerous primetime television series including Mind Over Money, What Next, and The Curious Mind.  In 2018 Ruckus was named New Zealand’s Hottest Production Company in the StopPress awards.
