Tendering for business is a costly exercise. Did you know that 70% to 80% of tender proposals submitted by suppliers are unsuccessful? What if you could increase your success rate by even 10%?


This training will give you an insight into the unwritten rules that help increase your odds of success or reduce your odds of failure. It will give you something that you can take away and use on your next tender response and presentations.

This workshop will provide you with the opportunity to get some key insights into increasing your odds of success. There is no “silver bullet” that will guarantee you’ll win tenders, but you can learn from an expert in procurement how to increase your odds of success.

Topics include:

  • understanding the costs of responding
  • how to plan and manage a response
  • response checklists
  • how to write succinctly and clearly (and quickly)
  • how to get your point of difference across
  • things you must do and traps to avoid

  • response checklist
  • project plan template
  • project tracking tool
  • presentation checklist


We are happy to share the resources that we have created and you can openly utilise them with anyone you like.


What you need to know

  • We use GoToMeeting as the online platform.
  • You will need a quiet space so there are no distractions for the participants.
  • You will receive an email with a link to the session.
