ALGIM invites applications from experienced local government managers to join our Board. Represent your council and region, contribute to strategic leadership, and help strengthen the voice of local government across New Zealand. 

We are seeking experienced local government professionals to join the ALGIM Board and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our sector. As a Board member, you will contribute strategic leadership and governance oversight, ensuring ALGIM continues to deliver impact for councils across New Zealand. You will bring a managerial-level perspective, representing the voice of your council and community while advocating for the needs and opportunities of the sector as a whole. We are particularly looking for candidates from a variety of council types and regions, to ensure the diversity of local government is strongly reflected in our decision-making. Alongside governance responsibilities, you will actively champion ALGIM within your networks, collaborate with fellow Board members, and provide informed, objective guidance that strengthens both our organisation and the wider sector.
