International
ALGIM has joined up with sister organizations in seven countries through the LOLA (Linked Organisations of Local Authorities) umbrella. These organisations meet annually throughout the world and ALGIM was privileged to host the first world gathering in 2002.
Together as nations we have worked on joint projects such as the E-Local Government Now Case Studies printed in NZ for 18 countries.
The international group of sister organisations is growing and in the future will expand across Europe, Asia etc. At present members include:

- ALGIM - New Zealand
- GMIS - USA
- SOCITM - United Kingdom
- KommITS - Sweden
ALGIM hosted the International Presidents meeting in 2007 at the annual Conference at Wairakei.
