VMWare Licensing Offer to Councils

In brief, the proposal is designed to take advantage of the syndication of councils under the ALGIM umbrella which allows VMware to offer significantly reduced pricing for an Unlimited VI3 Enterprise and Virtual Centre license.

The main points of the proposal are:

VMware offer an unlimited usage license key to all participating councils for

  • VI3 Enterprise (incl Vmotion, DRS, HA, VCB, DPM and Update Manager)
  • Virtual Centre
  • Platinum Support & Subscription (24/7)
  • Technical Account Manager
  • 1 x VMware Training course per Council

VMware segregates the Councils based on employee numbers, those with 300+ employees become a Tier 1 Council and those <300 become a Tier 2 Council.

Each Tier 1 Council that participates counts for 2 Program Points and Tier 2 Councils count for 1 Program Point. This pricing is offer based on VMware collating 40 Program points meaning uptake from either 20 x Tier 1 Councils, 40 Tier 2 Councils or a combination of both. Further information can be found on the Products and Services page.
