In November, ALGIM will be holding our 2022 Annual Conference at Te Pae Convention Centre in Christchurch. This will be a special conference as we will be hosting around 30 international guests working in ICT in local government.
This is a unique opportunity to network with colleagues across NZ and the globe who are all working in the same sector. Many great connections are made during this event.
LOLA - our international alliance
ALGIM is a founding member of the Linked Organisations of Local Authority ICT Societies (LOLA), an international group of organisations with similar goals. LOLA continues to grow, and current membership includes organisations from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Netherlands, USA, UK, and Sweden. Every year, LOLA holds a meeting of all the members. This meeting will take place at our conference.
We will be proud to show off our fabulous country to delegates from around the world and our NZ members will benefit from hearing about innovations in local government in their home countries, as part of the conference.
The conference will include keynote presentations, case studies, panel discussions, annual awards, workshops, vendor exhibition, site visits and everything you expect from an ALGIM Conference. Presentations will include thought leadership, practical advice, motivation and innovation in ICT, web/digital, customer experience, GIS, and information/records management.
The conference will run over three days with the exhibition on the first two, award dinner on the Monday night, networking dinner on the Tuesday night, site visits, workshops, user groups and special interest groups running on the Wednesday.
