James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor, Wellington
The Association of Local Government Information Management (ALGIM) is proud to announce that two top ranking speakers from the Inaugural 2011 ALGIM GIS Symposium will return to present at the 2012 ALGIM GIS Symposium, to be held next month.
To formally open the Symposium, the Honourable Maurice Williamson MP, Minister for Land Information, will address all attendees followed by a Q & A session. Attendees at the Inaugural 2011 ALGIM GIS Symposium appreciated Hon. Williamson informative presentation that demonstrated his focus on geospatial within his portfolio.
Also returning to present is Ian Smith, Geospatial Manager for Auckland Council. In 2011, Ian demonstrated to delegates the complex process of combining 8 Councils into the Super City, Auckland Council. Ian’s presentation will focus on where Auckland Council’s Geospatial Service now stands, 18 months after the merge and the challenges his team have since faced.
