2011 Annual ALGIM Conference, 20 - 23 November 2011

Integrate, Collaborate, Transform… Engage!

Bayview Wairakei Resort, Taupo, New Zealand

John Edwards, Information & Privacy Law Specialist, will provide attendees of the 2011 Annual ALGIM Conference an examination on what the copyright law reform means for Local Authorities. John has spoken at a number of ALGIM events where his presentation style and pertinent content is always well received.

More and more local authorities are providing access to the internet as part of the services provided to their communities, whether it be a terminal in the library, or wi-fi access in the downtown area.

John will answer many of the questions that have resulted from the recent law reform including what the consequences are for local authorities if a user breaches copyright online and if Local Authorities can continue to safely provide these services.
