As well as previously mentioned highlights, which you can view at www.algim.org.nz/2012cssymposium,  ALGIM is excited to have Miriam Kent, Acting Branch Manager – Customer Services Branch, of Brisbane City Council attend to address delegates.

Miriam’s presentation will focus on how to build and deliver a customer focus culture across an organisation. She will share the journey from Customer Service to Customer Focus for Brisbane City Council, discussing the critical role and success that the Brisbane City Council's Contact Centre has played in building the trust and reputation of Council in the community.

Further to this, Miriam will outline the evolution of the early steps taken to move away from a customer service organisation to a customer focus based organisation. She will share learning’s and clarify the processes required, to give a clear outcome and identity to the Customer Focus Vision 2016 “Dedicated to customers: everyone, everywhere, every time".

Miram has worked within the Customer Services Branch at Brisbane City Council since 2008, and is currently responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Customer Focus Vision 2016 across the organisation of over 9000 staff.

With 17 years customer service experience across public and private sector, Miriam's strength is managing cultural change, operational efficiencies and stakeholder engagement. She has led process improvements to achieve greater customer focused outcomes in both the private and public sector.

Hear how this vision is being adopted and implemented across the largest Local Government organisation in Australia. Register today for the 2012 ALGIM Customer Service Symposium! You can also view the preliminary programme at www.algim.org.nz/2012cssymposium.
