ALGIM are pleased to announce that their white paper on Mobility - “Mobility in 2012 and Beyond” is set to be released during the 2012 Annual ALGIM Conference.
Each year, the ALGIM Executive chooses a topic to research and provide a white paper back to its members, the Local Authorities of New Zealand.
This year the Executive chose to pursue the topic of “mobility” as being an area of real interest to the sector. Local Government is rapidly adopting mobile technologies including smart phones, tablets, apps and a myriad of uses including electronic forms.
This white paper is to inform Local Authorities on the fast pace changing environment that Local Government is facing within the area of Mobility. The paper seeks to highlight considerations, case studies and examples of best practice. Research is currently being undertaken by Damien Toman, Director of ICT Training and Consulting International Ltd, and ALGIM would like to thank all Local Authorities who are currently involved.
The white paper will be presented by Damien during the Conference, and will be made available online free of charge via ALGIM’s website and the conclusion of the Conference.
