To brighten the last week of work for 2017, ALGIM has created a little Christmas video to give you a smile. If for any reason you can't see it below, you can view it (full sized!) here.
Having just completed the ALGIM Annual Conference, our AGM, and coming to the close of the year, it is time for ALGIM to welcome and farewell some of our Executive members.
First and foremost, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new ALGIM Board members for 2017. Janet Grieg of Rangitikei District Council, Joy Kopa of Tararua District and Stacey Young of Marlborough District have joined us, and we look forward to working with them to the benefit of ALGIM and its members.
I would like give our thanks to Ewen Church (Palmerston North City) and Kevin Glynn (New Plymouth District) who have stepped down from the Board – you have been a valuable part of our Executive and we have appreciated your efforts. To our remaining Board members – Billy Michels, Andrea McIntosh, Marion Dowd, Mike Wanden, Justin Bagust, Jolanda Simon, Mike Brothers, Jim Higgins and Robyn Dearlove –we are excited to continue to accomplish even more next year.
It is an exciting year ahead for ALGIM as we build on the efforts of 2016 – advancing our Linked Data Toolkit, expanding our Infobase database, and working closely with Government Agencies on a range of initiatives such as Open Data, new dog legislation requirements and AOG. Keep in touch with us and listen out for more developments and new projects coming.
To all our members, I wish you a happy, peaceful and safe holiday season, whether you are travelling or at home. Rest and relax, and we look forward to working with you and the wider sector in 2017.
