Supreme Website Award

The Supreme Website Award is judged by ALGIM and is a non-nomination award.  The results for this award are based on an evaluation of participating New Zealand council websites against New Zealand Government Web Standards (self assessment), ALGIM's Self Assessment Council Website Survey (snapshot of the sector select functionality questions), RNZFB testing of a pdf document on each Council website and Enquiry Response Testing (conducted by ALGIM).  The New Zealand Government Web Standards are sourced from documentation supplied from the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA).

To be eligible for consideration for the Supreme Website Award your Council is required to complete the following:

  • ALGIM Self Assessment Survey on Web Standards WCAG 2.0
  • ALGIM Self Assessment Council Website Survey (snapshot of the sector select functionality questions)
  • RNZFB testing of a pdf document on each Council website
  • Response time to website query from customer (by ALGIM)

Links to these surveys were distributed via email to all local authorities inviting them to participate on Thursday 28 February 2013.

Overall rankings published by ALGIM will highlight those Councils who did not complete the ‘Self Assessment Surveys’.

Contact Jenny Cullinan-Nevell, Survey Administrator on +64 (06) 351 6334 or email admin@algim.org.nz to request the survey link or to be advised who within your organisation has received the link.
