The Supreme Council Website Award is judged by ALGIM and is a non-nomination award. The results for this award are based on an evaluation of participating in New Zealand council websites against New Zealand Government Web Standards, ALGIM's Self Assessment Council Website Survey (snapshot of the sector select functionality questions), the Blind Foundation testing the accessibility of each Council website, Enquiry Response testing (conducted by ALGIM) and Best Practice Review including mobile responsive design (conducted by ALGIM). The New Zealand Government Web Standards are sourced from documentation supplied from the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA).
To be eligible for consideration for the Supreme Council Website Award your Council is required to participate in the following:
- ALGIM Self Assessment Council Website Survey (snapshot of the sector select functionality questions)
- Response time to website and social media query from customer (completed by ALGIM)
- Check of the usability requirements under section 2 of the Web usability Standard and Council online services transaction functionality (completed by ALGIM)
